After 100 years, films should be getting really complicated. The novel has been reborn about 400 times, but it’s like cinema is stuck in the birth canal.

Kiyoshi Kurosawa, Kaïro
Kaïro is one of my fav’ films… it’s one that really made an impression on me when I saw it in a theater. I hadn’t seen a lot of Japanese films before this one at the time. Maybe I should try to read the other half of the novel Kiyoshi Kurosawa, the director, wrote. Titled Kaïro, too.. it’s more or less the same story. I have been procrastinating since forever on so many things, I have one book about/on this film I’ve meant to read for years now. I barely read a few pages. And there’s another one too on Kaïro I’d like to buy and read after this one. Oh. And there’re also all the other Kiyoshi Kurosawa films I have in a DVD box set that I have yet to watch… I only watched the beginning of Jellyfish/Bright Future some years ago… (Sigh…)

I don’t have any film at hand that I want to watch… i don’t know what i am after… I’d like to find some “moody” films, or I mean with some kind of mood, particular atmosphere/s, but I don’t really know how to describe what i’d like.. something mellow/slightly melancholic… I don’t know. From the few films I saw those last months those I like the most were Last Life In The Universe and Away With Words I think… (and also Sans Soleil by Chris Marker.)
Anyone — I know there’s a few film fans with good taste among my followers! — would know some film/s to recommend to me? At first I thought I’d get clue as what to watch from all your screencaps, but there has been so many posted, you see so many films that I don’t know much / am a bit lost… I don’t remember everything… I don’t remember the titles, maybe I should have noted some titles… Maybe just give me some titles, a little list if you can, and I’ll see what I feel i could like. Please. :)TL;DR: Films recommandations?
