Nearly 25 years since Taito put out the “psychic adventure game,” Akira for Famicom/NES is now available in English, thanks to Dark Trans’ patch released last week.

Famitsu Magazine didn’t seem to think too highly of the game back in the day (17/40 review score), and impressions I’ve read online are also critical, but it does have some nice 8-bit shots based on the film’s scenes — at least from what I can tell by the Akira/Famicom images that often pop up in my Tumblr dashboard.
